I was in Field circus when it started. We stopped early cuz no one wanted to talk that day they wanted to watch tv. Remember what the next awake was on terorism and that was the focus. I thought it was the end maybe terorism was the last king of the north or something.

Adultery, Forgiveness & Divorce-----WATCHTOWER STYLE
by minimus ini wonder how many have been affected by the watchtower's interpretation of these things.
i know of many many jws that "live together" only because they are married to each other.
these people almost hate each other, but would never leave their marriages and get an "unscriptural" divorce.....i know of wives that "forgave" their husbands "unknowingly".

I stayed for 13 with a "little man" I would have divorced 6 months into the marriage had it not been for being a JW. To be honest if i would have slept with him once prior i never would have married him!

I was in a small hall and I hated it that the brothers were the only ones that could read the Watchtower. There were three of them that could not read well didn't graduated High School yet there were 6 or so sisters that were fluent readers but had to be sit through the 5th grad reader on stage. No one in the hall had a college education. I got one but then left so i'm sure some think it was because i went to school. Ya I started to think...

Did your wardrobe of clothes change when you left the JW'S

the mrs has given all but 1 away to the charity shops and i have loads more room in me wardrobe now.
what items of clothing did you get rid of when you got out of the cult ?

Last time I moved I went through everything I owned and if it made me feel like a JW i got rid of it. three garbage bags went to good will. I am slowly getting an upgrade. just "cuter" stuff that makes me feel like a woman not a JW

New songbook...
by Snoozy ini have recently made contact on facebook with a witness family that i used to be very good friends with.
they now live in australia..she shared the name of one of their new songbook songs with me and commented that a lot of them sound like they are inspired by prince and michael jackson... if someone want to post it as a link feel free... song 171 "the song of victory".

Things we never told the public.....
by drewcoul ini thought it would be interesting to discuss the things we believed as jw's, but were kind of embarassed about and didn't tell the public about, since it would make us look ridiculous.......... one thing i can think of is the idea that only jw's will make it through armageddon.
everyone else would be destroyed.
i would never tell anyone that even though we all believed it.

A look at Jehovah's Witnesess ethics
by Hobo Ken inthis post is to expose the unethical, un-scriptural actions of the men involved in the "judicial" processes of jehovah's witneses.
the lack of fair minded impartial justice shown to me during my "judicial" case is a result of what they (the elders) are directed to do by the governing body of jehovah's witnesess.
many people have been through similar and will do again in the future, sadly.

Update on Ali, my daughter
by coffee_black inali is home and undergoing further treatment for congestive heart failure.
she has a bi-ventricular pacemaker and a defibrilator (sp?
) they believe the heart failure was caused by a virus that damaged the heart muscle.
